But for 10 years or so the lines were merged. And takeuchi makes top notch equipment, their excavators and compact track loaders are the best in their class.
My bug concern is the front and rear casters. The kubota has a much wider front and back. I have ran a TL8 Tac which I de-tracked with the same setup. It was a rental, the track was probably too lose, and I am not an operator, just may only have 20 hours on CTL's in general. The case dealer is 2 hours away, the Kubota dealer is 15 min.
Hey guys (and maybe some gals on here), I'm in the market for a skid steer. I'm tired of renting, and have a bit of work to do around the house. 5 acres in the woods, so some dirt work, rocks, tree work, stumps, landscaping, gravel driveway, and a hobby of working on trucks, so moving junkers around and their heavy parts (axles, engines, beds . But like I said above anytime you are sliding/skidding things are going to get sketchy fast. Your Kubota will be balanced to the rear, so with no attachment running cross slope will make the high track run light in the toe, heavy in the heel, and crowd down on the low side track and try to push it sideways. A user asks how to tighten the tracks of a Kubota SVL75 (2012) with 1100 hours. Other users suggest removing the zerk, cleaning the idler, and using metal bars to retract the track.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with skid steers on slopes mowing or working in general? We would like to replace our compact tractor with a tracked skid with brush mower to open up our options. Obvious concern would be how steep of angle is to steep for the machine. I would say most of the work would be 35-45 degrees or less. Kubota Diagmaster is the software you're looking for. There are two adapter options (Python and the one we use that escapes me at the moment). You'll need to contact Kubota or Takeuchi (Takeuchi also provides Yanmar access) to set up the license. After looking for a good while finally bought a new SVL75-2 with cab and air yesterday to use on the ranch. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations on these machines. I’ve never owned a track skid steer before so was wondering how often to change the oil in the drives. I came down to this: a choice between the JCB 1CX and a Kubota R420 with a backhoe attachment. My problem is:i have no idea which one to pick. The machines are realitively the same in specs although the jcb might be a bit smaller, and it is also skid so it can get into tight spaces, but the kubota is articulated and more ground friendly, aswell .
