Skid steers will lift lots and have a zillion attachments, but I have heard complaints that you can't get out the cab with a shuttle of roundup lifted 1/2 way up. The cabs are small and noisy and the machines are quite rough and slow compared to a farm tractor. We bought our first skid steer last year. Mainly for building fence lines, but also for cleaning sheds, so lower height was a limitation. I've always been a deere guy, and after having worked for CAT for a number of years and seeing how many of their skid steers came in broke down, I decided that I didn't want a CAT.
