Anybody else ever buy the x series grapple from MTL? Looking at the root versus the rock grapple. They recommended the x series 66" over the rk for my particular tractor - 1/2" instead of 3/8". I'm debating whether I need the beefier version for just cleaning brush piles and moving logs for firewood. My bucket is a 72". An excellent inexpensive grapple producer is Mid-State Attachments, in Denton, NC. Mid-State and MTL are often confused by buyers. Mid-State does have better reviews. Grapples made by Mid-State are also sold by others on E-Bay, but calling Mid-State directly, will get a MUCH better price. As much as I love the lower weight of the Wicked 55 since lid grapple, the Wicked Root grapple V2 with the double lids is quite nice.
