Can I replace the rear door to try to update it a little bit? I have access to a # 763 & a # 873 machine that has the more rounded style door. I know that I could take everything apart & measure it, but I just wanted to jog your minds to see if it has been done before. I'm wondering if there is a better door replacement for our Deere 329D. We had the standard door and it broke today when a large square bale hit it. I haven't seen it yet, but I guess it shattered into a million pieces. I always assumed the doors would be laminated glass. The OEM door comes with all new frame and hardware. The Ballistic Defender Door I reuse my old hardware. The big difference is the Bobcat door windshield is replaceable and costs 70. I have the door from a Cat 257 Skid steer and someone is looking at purchasing it from me. They own a 257B. All the measurments are the same. The only difference I can find is the placement of the handle. The 257 door handle is in the bottom corner and on the 257B's it is located in the center. Simply unplug the door switch/wiper wiring harness A-C3 as shown below from the machine harness connector CH-C10 and plug in the jumper CH-C18.
