The yellow seal will take its shape after a few minutes and the ring compressor can then be removed. Make sure the piston is dried before using the ring compressor.
The easiest thing to check is holding the valve over the relief by lifting the arms all the way up and holding them there for 10 seconds. If one cylinder feels warm where the piston is, then that one is leaking. Hoping to bend it back in palce and then grind the welds back out and have them rewelded.
