I now have a T300 too, and it has foot controls. I MUCH prefer the hand controls, but I also much prefer the track machine. I am selling my T300 and was considering a Cat 277 or 287, but found this Case 445ct that I am interested in. I can relate to you as I to got a well used Case 430 skid steer and so will share my experience so far with mine. I traded a low hour, straight and clean, small, New Hallond skid steer in for a high (8000) hr. Machine. I wanted a bigger machine than I . CASE elected to leave the market entirely after the 1825B. Currently the smallest machine they make is the 410. The 1825B is more common and was in production longer. The 1825B has a loyal following who were not happy when CASE left that market all together. The issue I imagine comes down to units sold and the market is if you pardon the pun .

Steer along way away from the 1835Cs, Gas or diesel versions both. They are an older machine and have a 3 cylinder continental/teladyne engine was have numerous problem over time. The main failure in the 40XT drive motors is the spacer between the bearings on the output shaft that set the preload on the bearings were made out of soft material.

The pilot controls in the Taks are the smoothest that I have ran. The controls on the Case, although E/H, have a very smooth feel and finish a strong 2nd. When you first run the Case coming from the Tak, they will take a little getting used to, but once you find the settings that work best for you, they are nice. I also don't notice any lag at all.
