I had a sweepster and the bucket is way too thin and the part where the lid and bucket comes together always cracked. I have had a bobcat sweeper 60 and it has lasted almost 5 years. A lil welding here and there and a custom all metal water kit with the hose routed thru the bucket like the hydralics is the ticket. Below are some pics of a blank plate that I was going to weld to my pallet forks but I don't know if it fits like it's suppose to. Everything about the plate seems to measure correctly. I just welded a skid-steer plat to a fork-lift mast, but just the part that the forks mount on. If it's a heavy duty back-hoe you may have reinforce the skid-steer plate. I have a set of pallet forks that attaches to the skid steer using brackets that accept the hoist and bucket pins. My plan is to turn it into a Bob-tach mount by welding an adapter plate to the forks.
Yesterday I picked up a used 8' Western snow plow from a 3/4 ton Chevy truck that I'm going to mount on a skid steer quick attach plate. Here starts a picture heavy build thread. Plow blade sitting in front of the machine that it would be mounted on. I have an old snowplow off a Willys truck that I want to mount to a quick attach (QA) skid steer plate to use on my tractor. I purchased the QA on e-bay (it should arrive by the weekend) and it says it is made of 1/4" plate. Before you weld the a-frame to the blank plate, be sure that your loader arms are down against the boom stops and the a-frame is parallel to the ground. Most likely, you will also need to have an additional gusset to make it strong enough.
